Do you not have login details yet? This helps prevent connections to fake networks.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Still unable to connect? Then the connection may not have been fully completed.<\/p>\n<p>Try the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Turn wifi off briefly and then back on<\/li>\n<li>Restart your Chromebook<\/li>\n<li>Remove the <strong>publicroam<\/strong> network and reconnect<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, check:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>if your <strong>username<\/strong> and <strong>password<\/strong> are entered correctly<\/li>\n<li>if the domain is set to <strong>publicroam.nl<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>and if you have sufficient wifi signal<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div><\/details>\n<details class=\"markdown-details\" id=\"en-chromebook-does-not-show-all-settings\" name=\"6a237af5d9014\"><summary>My Chromebook does not show all wifi settings<\/summary><div class=\"faq-answer\"><p>Some Chromebooks only show extra wifi settings after you have first chosen an EAP method.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, first choose:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>EAP method: PEAP<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After that, extra options usually appear, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Phase 2 authentication<\/li>\n<li>Domain<\/li>\n<li>Certificate settings<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div><\/details>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"markdown-document wp-block-blocknroll-markdown-document\"><h2 id=\"en-en-verbinden\">Logging in &amp; connecting<\/h2>\n<details class=\"markdown-details\" id=\"waar-gebruikersnaam-wachtwoord\" name=\"6a237af5db5b7\"><summary>Where can I find my Publicroam username and password?<\/summary><div class=\"faq-answer\"><p>You will receive your Publicroam username and password when you create an account.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on how you signed up, you can find these details: <br><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in the <strong>Publicroam app<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>in an <strong>sms message<\/strong> from Publicroam<\/li>\n<li>in an <strong>email<\/strong> you received from Publicroam<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Are you using the Publicroam app? Then you can find your login details via: <strong>Menu \u2192 My account \u2192 Login details<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2139\ufe0f <em>Keep your login details safe. You will need them if you want to set up wifi manually on a device.<\/em><\/p><\/div><\/details>\n<details class=\"markdown-details\" id=\"ik-heb-geen-sms-ontvangen\" name=\"6a237af5db5b7\"><summary>I did not receive an sms with login details<\/summary><div class=\"faq-answer\"><p>You receive the sms with login details (username and password) immediately after requesting an account. The sender is <strong>publicroam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Did not receive an sms? Choose from the following options:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requested via the website<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Request a <strong>new account<\/strong> via the website. Make sure to check your mobile number.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requested via sms<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Send another sms with <strong>publicroam<\/strong> to 0970 10 260 261 (or with the country code: +31 970 10 260 261).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you get a message saying an account already exists?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can delete an existing account yourself. Send an sms with <strong>stop<\/strong> to 0970 10 260 261 (or with the country code: +31 970 10 260 261). Do this with the mobile number you used to sign up previously.<\/p>\n<p>After that, request a new account.<\/p>\n<p>If you still do not receive an sms despite these actions, please contact us via the <a href=\"https:\/\/publicroam.net\/en\/support\/contact\/\">contact page<\/a>.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n<details class=\"markdown-details\" id=\"geen-sms-code-ontvangen\" name=\"6a237af5db5b7\"><summary>I am not receiving an sms verification code for the Publicroam app<\/summary><div class=\"faq-answer\"><p>Are you not receiving an sms with a verification code while signing up in the Publicroam app? Please check the following.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Check your mobile number<\/strong> <br>\nCheck if your mobile number was entered correctly, including the correct country code.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Check your signal<\/strong> <br>\nMake sure you have enough mobile signal and can receive sms messages.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Check your sms messages<\/strong> <br>\nCheck: <br><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>your blocked messages folder;<\/li>\n<li>spam or unwanted messages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2139\ufe0f <em>The verification code is sent via a normal sms message, not via WhatsApp.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Request a new code<\/strong> <br>\nWait a few minutes and then request a verification code again in the app.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Then check the points below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Do you have a Publicroam account?<\/strong> <br>\nDo you not have an account yet or have you not received login details? Please request them first.<\/p>\n<p>\u2139\ufe0f <em>Are your login details older than 48 hours and have you not successfully connected before? Then request new login details.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Check if the wifi network is visible<\/strong> <br>\nThe network <strong>publicroam<\/strong> must be visible in your device&#8217;s wifi list. Also, make sure you have enough signal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Check your wifi settings<\/strong> <br>\nA typo in the settings often causes connection failures.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, check: <br><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>username and password;<\/li>\n<li>the set domain (publicroam.nl);<\/li>\n<li>the other wifi settings for your device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4. Remove Publicroam and set it up again<\/strong> <br>\nHave you connected before? First, remove the network <strong>publicroam<\/strong> from your device and set it up again.<\/p>\n<p>\u2139\ufe0f <em>Sometimes it also helps to temporarily turn wifi off and on again or to restart your device.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>5. This message may occur more often with poor reception.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong> <br>\nCheck if your username and password have been entered correctly (see sms or the Publicroam app). Re-enter them and copy them exactly as shown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong> <br>\nDoes the message keep appearing? Then remove the publicroam wifi profile from your device and then sign up again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4<\/strong> <br>\nCan&#8217;t figure it out? Then check if you are at a location where Publicroam is available.<\/p>\n<p>Check the locations at https:\/\/publicroam.net\/en\/locations\/<\/p>\n<p>Important: Only re-enter your details if you have checked that you are at a location with Publicroam.<\/p>\n<p>Does this keep happening or are you in doubt? Contact us via the <a href=\"https:\/\/publicroam.net\/en\/support\/contact\/\">contact page<\/a>.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n<details class=\"markdown-details\" id=\"waarom-inloggen-binnen-48uur\" name=\"6a237af5db5b7\"><summary>Why do I have to log in to a Publicroam location within 48 hours?<\/summary><div class=\"faq-answer\"><p>If you received your login details via sms, you must log in to a wifi network with Publicroam within 48 hours. If you do not do this, your details will be deleted and you will have to request a new Publicroam account. We do this for security reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Are you using the Publicroam app? Then this 48-hour period does not apply. You can install the app at home.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n<details class=\"markdown-details\" id=\"vpn-kan-niet-gebruiken\" name=\"6a237af5db5b7\"><summary>I cannot use my VPN via Publicroam<\/summary><div class=\"faq-answer\"><p>Publicroam itself does not impose restrictions on the use of VPN connections. Therefore, you can, for example, use a business VPN or a personal VPN service while connected via Publicroam.<\/p>\n<p>However, the WiFi network of the location where you are may set additional restrictions. Some guest networks block certain VPN protocols or specifically limit network traffic for security or management reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Is your VPN not working via a specific Publicroam network? Then please contact the administrator of that location or organization. They can indicate whether network restrictions are active.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Can&#8217;t do it?
